An annual writing challenge with one goal:
WRITE EVERY DAY.
Jump into TeachWritetober, a 31-day writing challenge designed to reignite your creativity and build consistent writing habits! The goal is simple: write every day for the month of October.
No word counts, no pressure—just show up and let the words flow.
Each year we select a different theme to build additional challenges and prompts around. This year, being our 6th annual go around, we decided on leaning into the madness and shenanigans that often come with writing. Here at Teach Write we are WILD ABOUT WRITING!
What can I write for 31 days?
Anything! Journaling, to do lists, letters, poems, ALL WRITING counts in this challenge.
It’s really just about showing up to your writing EVERY DAY to build that consistent habit!
Accountability is great, but what ELSE can I do this month?
We want to support your writing — so if you want to go BEYOND writing every day then we’re ready to support YOUR goals!
We have options for readers, writers, and teachers of all walks of life to join us this month. Whether it’s reading for our book club (see below), writing in our pen pal exchange (information coming soon), or pulling from our daily writing prompts we do have other ways you can push yourself to write daily this October.
You can also view this as a sign to check out our Time to Write workshop sessions as part of our accountability promise! We will have OPEN TO ALL days (at no charge) on October 9, October 19, and October 22.
But, you’re also welcome to just take the plunge and join our Academy where we have EVEN MORE accountability days and times for writing as part of a community of teacher-writers who simply want to support OTHER teacher-writers.
You can also join us for our seasonal book club sessions where we will be meeting to discuss Writing Wild by Tina Welling. Not only will this bring you some great inspiration, but it’s one more way to challenge yourself this month.
Our first meeting is October 13, 2024!
